Edward Fengler, 84, Moundville, Mo., passed away suddenly Monday morning, September 17, 2007, at his home.
He was born on July 8, 1923 in Moundville, Mo., the son of Erich and Amanda Kuhlman Fengler. He was married to LaRue Young on February 22, 1947 in Fort Scott, Kansas, and she survives of the home.
Ed attended grade school at Moore and graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1941. He served in W.W.II with the 377th anti-aircraft division in Germany, England, France and Belgium as a medic. He was discharged in 1945 and farmed until his retirement.
Survivors, in addition to his wife LaRue, include three daughters, Sharon Hinds and her husband, Vic, Moundville, Mo., Carol Long and her husband, Les, Cleburne, Texas, and Kathy Keithly and her husband, Doug, Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren, Vickie Sprague and her husband Larry, Carla Gilliam and her husband, Brian, Rodney Hinds and his wife, Julie, Brian Long and his wife, Sherry, Erich and Scott Keithly, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Kennedy, Horton, Mo., and Wilma Snyder, Bronaugh, Mo., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Clara Ingles.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Mo., with Wes Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
