Richard Raymond Buckner and the former Mary Loretta Garrett, were married on Aug. 19, 1967, in Kansas City, Kan.

The Buckners are the parents of five children, Kimberly Newton, Karen Jefferies, Loretta Murray, Lisa Gardner and Kenneth Buckner, of Sheldon Mo.; and grandparents of eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There are no anniversary celebration plans at this time for the Sheldon residents.
