Juanita Irene Beadles, 75, of Monroe Valley, Calif., formerly of Mulberry, Kan., and Walker, Mo., passed away in her home on Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at 4 a.m., after a courageous battle fighting cancer and pulmonary fibrosis.
She was born Oct. 14, 1931, in Mulberry, Kan., the daughter of Elmer Herbert Beadles and Margrada Hazel Beadles.
Mrs. Evans and her husband, J.B. Evans, owned and operated a grocery store Walker, Mo.
Juanita is survived by her five children, Lynn Evans of Fallbrook, Calif., Vicki (Evans) Bevard of Uplan, Calif., Herb Evans of Corona, Calif., Rhonda Evans of Orville, Calif., Brenda (Evans) Chartrand of Yucca Valley, Calif., 11 grandchildren; Kelli Cox, Melissa Cole, Angie Evans, Joshua Evans, William Evans, Clayton Underwood, Amanda Evans, Meagen Evans, Cassandra Chartrand, Brandon Chartrand, Nicole Chartrand, four great-grandchildren; David Cole, Joshua Cole, Caleb Cole, Kylah Cox, four sisters; Margie Willey of Garland, Texas, Lela Curry of Ocklawaha, Fla., Attis Murrill of Wichita, Kan., Rettie Cassity of Sapula, Okla., companion Bert Grondin of Monero, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. B. Evans; a son, Jerry Dean Evans; three sisters, Sylvia Beadles, Lois Cartwright, Alice Ann Brooks, and one brother James Beadles.
Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20 at Brenner Mortuary with the Rev. Jim Sukraw officiating. Juanita's children will receive family and friends on Sunday, Aug. 19, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Pittsburg, Kan., Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, Kan.
