Hiattville monthly 4-H meeting

The Aug. 1 meeting of the Hiattville 4-H club was called to order by acting President Cassie Schwalm. Roll call was answered by your favorite 4-H project. There were nine members and three leaders present. Katelyn Vincent gave a secretaries report. Ronnette Vincent gave a leaders report and reminded everyone to thank their livestock buyers and to turn in record books at the September meeting.

In the program Justin Query did an officers quiz for parlaw. Hannah Fry led the club in singing "Roll Over." Zachary Schwalm did a "project talk" about his rocket and Katelyn gave a talk about her exhibits. Schwalm won the traveling trophy.

Refreshments were served by the Simpson family.

The next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Hiattville Fire Station.
