Ann Francis Casner, 81, resident of Guest Home Estates, Fort Scott, Kan., died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.
She was born Jan. 26, 1926 in Brooklyn. Ann worked as a beautician for many years with Ruby Palmer Beauty Shop. She then opened her own beauty shop on East Wall Street. She worked her later years in housekeeping at Mercy Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Her hobbies include reading, knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include one son, William Casner of Wichita, Kan., and a granddaughter, Megan Todd.
Rev. Steve MacArthur will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday in the Cheney Witt Chapel.
Following funeral services there will be cremation with burial at a later date in New York. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.Box 347, Fort Scott, Kansas, 66701.
