U.S. Army Sergeant Courtney Dean Finch, 27, died of non-combat related injuries on Tuesday, July 24, 2007. He was born on June 27, 1980.

Survivors are Finch's father David Finch, Baldwin, Wis., Anne Sukow and step mother Beth Dauben Finch. His sister, Joy Jursch, Topeka and Suanne

Ginch, Colorado Springs, Colo. Finch was preceded in death by his brother , Spender M. Finch II, Grandparents Spencer and Julia Finch and Uncle Mike

Finch. Relatives in the area are Bill and Cindy Fretwell and Frank and Joann Greenfield.

Attending the funeral will be Governor Kathleen Sebelius and the Patriot Guard. Due to a new bill, flags will be flown at half mast for a week following the death of any service members in Iraq.

Services for U. S. Army Sergeant Courtney Dean Finch will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery with full military honors.
