Sadie Beerbower, age 58, former resident of Fort Scott, died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Edwardsville Manor, Edwardsville, Kan. She was born May 19, 1949 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Cecil James Beerbower and Aileen Julian Beerbower. Sadie married Donald Dauben. They later divorced.
Survivors include three daughters, Gwen Woodward, Eudora, Kan., Georgia Alley and Rebecca Allen, both of Tyler, Texas and a son, Alexander Allen, Tyler, Texas; one brother, Johnnie Warner. Phillipsburg, Kan.; and three sisters, Clara Clydine Pullium, Manhattan, Kan., Ellen Beerbower, Ogden, Kan. and Marsha Carol Boyer, Lebanon, Ore.
Also surviving are local aunts and uncles, Earl and Sherry Beerbower, Carl and Waneta Beerbower, and Nole and Marvel Beerbower, all of Fort Scott; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Cecil Beerbower.
There was a cremation. Rev. Jared Witt will conduct memorial services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to a Sadie Beerbower Fund and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, Kansas 66701.
