Clay Wilson, 68, died at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston on Thursday, June 14, 2007, following a courageous battle with liver and kidney disease.
He was born May 7, 1939, in Detroit, to the late C.B. and Sevena Parks Wilson. Clay married the love of his life Vivian Serda, Dec. 25 1969 and from this union eight children were born.
He is survived by Clarence B. Wilson, Baton Rough, La., Damon Wilson, Houston, Monique Wilson, Los Angeles, Hope Nitcher Eureka, Kan., Sevena Felton, Pearland, Texas, Clay Wilson Jr., Ariz., Carmen Weekley, Fort Scott, Dee-Dee Wilson, Fort Scott, Angel Wilson, Fort Scott, Orlando Wilson, Fort Scott, and Andre' Wilson, Fort Scott.
Clay was survived by 11 grandchildren, LaTasha Wilson, Damien Wilson, Bobby V. Wilson, Megan Wilson, Alexander Wilson, Sabrina Wilson, Isaiah Wilson, Caleb Nitcher, Kye Weekley, Laila Weekley and Kendall Felton.
He was also survived by Dorothy Campbell, Fla., Carmen Wilson McKenzie, San Jose, Calif., John R. Wilson, Detroit, and a host nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by is sister, Janice Blair and Nephew, Juan McKenzie.
Memorial services for Clay will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Parsons, Kan. Immediately following the services, the family will receive friends at a hosted dinner reception at the Parsons Municipal Building.
