VFW Post 1165 scholarship winners

The Olson-Frary-Burkhart Post 1165 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars is proud to announce the 2007 high school senior scholarship winners. Each recipient will receive a $500 scholarship from the local post. From Uniontown High School, the winner was Rebekah DeMoss. Winners from Fort Scott High School were Duncan Cheney, Kayla Clay, Marguerite Fredicksen, and Jordan Renfro. Kathleen Engelland, a senior at Nickerson High School was also awarded a $500 scholarship.

This is the 11th year that the post has awarded these scholarships. To qualify for consideration, the applicant must be a direct descendant of a post member, with specific grade point criteria, and submit a written essay.
