Funeral services for Shirley Ann Lalman Foster will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2007, at the Pearl Street Baptist Church, Paola.
Burial will be at the Bourbon County Memorial Gardens in Fort Scott.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wilson and Son Funeral Home, Paola Chapel.

She was born October 14, 1941, in Garnett, Kan., the daughter of Kenneth and Bernita Willis Lalman, the fourth of seven children.
Shirley was a 1959 graduate of Blue Mound High School.
She married Albert W. Foster on September 3, 1960, at the Xenia Baptist Church.
They lived in Paola from 1960 until 2002, when they moved to Blue Mound after retiring. Shirley was member of Pearl Street Baptist Church, Paola, Kan.
In 1982, she received her associate of arts degree from Fort Scott Community College, and in 1994, she graduated from Ottawa University with a bachelor of arts degree. She was a member of Who's Who Among America's Teachers, Sigma Alpha, Builders for Christ, and Kansas State Science Advisory Council. She received her teaching license in 1994, and taught at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Paola, Kan., for 12 years.
During her years in Paola, she worked at the United Methodist Church for 14 1/2 years as a secretary, and volunteered with many community organizations.
Some of her greatest joys were reading, sewing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eloyse Stewart; and two nieces, Jeri Lynn Lalman and Ressa Lalman Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Albert; three children, Michael Dean Foster and wife Cindy; their children, Nathan, Benjamin, and James, all of Baldwin, Kan.; Mark DeWayne Foster, wife Barbara and son Charlie Craig, Jr., of Paola, Kan.; Marcia Foster/Roberts, significant other Tod Attebery; and daughter Amber Roberts of Paola, Kan.; sister, Betty Kastl of Washington, Kan.; sister, Mardell Durnal of Siloam, Arkansas; brother Kenneth Lalman of Mapleton, Kan.; brother Jerry Lalman of Mapleton, Kan.; and brother Bill Lalman of Fort Scott, Kan.
