Wednesday, May 30, 2007

The Bourbon County 4-H Junior Leaders will again be sponsoring One Day Camp to be held in Gunn Park. The annual event will be held Friday, June 15, beginning at 8 a.m. for 7 to 10 year old youth. Youth do not have to belong to 4-H to attend Day Camp.

Activities planned include archery, crafts, conservation, ice cream in a bag, petting zoo, scavenger hunt, and group activities.

The youth will be supervised by adult 4-H Volunteers and County Extension Agents Ann Ludlum and Delta George.

"There are two requirements to attend Day Camp -- the child must meet the age requirements of 7-10 the day of camp and an emergency phone number is required so a parent or guardian can be called in case of emergency," Ludlum said.

The cost of the camp is $4 each. Registration for camp is due Friday, June 8. Stop by the Extension Office on the first floor of the courthouse or call (620) 223-3720 for more information or to register.
