HUTCHINSON -- Kansas State University freshman Joe Ida, a 2006 graduate of Fort Scott High School, finished tied for 22nd place at the Big 12 Conference Golf Championship at P r a i r i e Dunes here Tuesday. Ida, who had the Wildcats' best score in the tournament, shot 74 in his first two rounds and 79 in the final round for a total of 227, which is 17 strokes over par of 36 holes here.

K-State finished ninth as a team in the tournament with a total of 916, one stroke ahead of Kansas.

Oklahoma State won the tournament with an 866. This was the Cowboys' fifth Big 12 title and 50th conference championship for OSU's golf team.
