Mrs. Ewing grew up in the Sarcoxie and Joplin, Missouri area and graduated from Joplin High School.
She came to Nevada in 1954 and lived in Sheldon, Missouri since 1968. She worked for MFA Grain in Lamar, Missouri as a bookkeeper from 1968 until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the Nevada Assembly of God Church.
In addition to her husband George, she is survived by one daughter, Robyn Fowler, and her husband, Kerry, Sheldon, Missouri; two granddaughters, Crystal Shepherd and husband Jay, Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Charity Ogle and her husband, Justin, Nevada, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Cade Ewing Shepherd and Avery Lynn Ogle; two sisters, Evelyn Diener, Olathe, and Betty McCallister, Webb City, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gordon Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Missouri with Pastors Paul Leasor and Ted Furry officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery, Fort Scott.
Friends may call now and until the time of service at Ferry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening between 7-8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials may be made in her honor to the Nevada Assembly of God Church or the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
