Riverfront Authority bill clears committee on its way to House

TOPEKA -- A bill to establish a Riverfront Authority needed in order to build, fund and maintain a riverfront recreation, education and nature area in Fort Scott is expected to be voted on and passed by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, state Rep. Shirley Palmer said in a Monday morning telephone interview.
