CLYDE HAROLD MORRIS

Clyde Harold Morris, age 90, of Nevada, Missouri, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, Missouri.

He was born May 20, 1916, in Vernon County, Missouri, to Howard H. Morris and Minnie Pearl Capps Morris.

He was married December 24, 1947, in Girard to Margaret B. Pommier and she survives of the home.

Mr. Morris was born and raised in Vernon County and spent most all of his life there. He made his living, for a lifetime, as a farmer and was considered an active conservationist.

He was of Cherokee heritage and considered that an honor.

In addition to his wife Margaret, survivors include two sons, Jerry Morris, Deerfield, Missouri and Terry Morris, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; and one grandson, Michael Morris, Deerfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garland with the Rev. Terry Mosher officiating. Interment will follow at the Heavisides Cemetery in Garland.

Friends may call now and until 9 a.m. on Saturday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 5:30 -- 6:30 p.m.
