Raymond Earl Lind, age 68, of Fort Scott, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He was born October 1, 1938, in Uniontown, the son of Robert Doyle and Gladys Bedelia (Ford) Lind.

He married Beverly DeMott Sept 1, 1972, in Fort Scott. She survives of the home.

In addition to his wife Beverly, Raymond is survived by a daughter, Sheila Bowers of Independence, Missouri; two brothers, Robert Lind of Iola, and Don Lind of Brownsville, Texas; two sisters, Rowena Copeland of Parsons, and Doris Stephens of Fort Scott; and one granddaughter, Angela Bowers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lloyd Houk will conduct funeral services Friday, February 23, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Sunny Slope Cemetery in Blue Mound. Visitation will be Thursday evening February 22, 2007 from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
