John Meredith Chance, age 62, of Willard, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 16, 2007, at Willard Care Center in Willard, Missouri. He was born April 20, 1944, in Rochelle, Illinois the son of Meredith M. Chance and Mabel E. Kupka Chance.

He is survived by his wife Judy Chance of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Kim and Kevin Sowell, Wichita and Shelly Chance and Ryan Berland, Wichita; one son, Shane Young, Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren, Ethan and Sage Berland and Dylan Sowell.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home LTD, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn Street, Springfield, Missouri. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2007, at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alan Schmitt officiating.
