WARREN W. MCCULLOUGH

Warren Watt McCullough, age 85, a resident of rural Fort Scott, Kan., died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott. He was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Fort Scott, the son of Leonard McCullough and Neva Ruth Swan McCullough.

He married Nina Henning Evans on Oct. 18, 1975 in Fort Scott. Warren had lived in the same house his entire life. Warren worked for 20 years as a cutter for Key Industries. He later retired from the Kansas Highway Department. He also raised cattle on the family farm. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle.

Survivors include his wife, Nina, of Fort Scott; two step-sons, Gene Evans and wife, Ludean, Fort Scott and Sam Evans, and wife, Linda, Devon, Kan.; two step-daughters, Shirley Jefferis and husband, Jim, Moran, Kan., and Mary Beck and husband Joe, Mt. Vernon, Mo. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Paul Rooks will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel, 201 S. Main St., Fort Scott, Kan.
