He married Nina Henning Evans on Oct. 18, 1975 in Fort Scott. Warren had lived in the same house his entire life. Warren worked for 20 years as a cutter for Key Industries. He later retired from the Kansas Highway Department. He also raised cattle on the family farm. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife, Nina, of Fort Scott; two step-sons, Gene Evans and wife, Ludean, Fort Scott and Sam Evans, and wife, Linda, Devon, Kan.; two step-daughters, Shirley Jefferis and husband, Jim, Moran, Kan., and Mary Beck and husband Joe, Mt. Vernon, Mo. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Paul Rooks will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel, 201 S. Main St., Fort Scott, Kan.
