Paul E. Potter, 91, of Polo, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007. He was a carpenter and life-long farmer.
Paul was born Jan. 11, 1916 in Deerfield, Mo., the son of Lewellyn E. and Lilla Lois (Wiles) Potter. He married Kathryn Brown on Aug. 24, 1937 in Nevada, Mo. She preceded him in death on May 16, 2002. He attended East Jordan United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Larry (Millie) Potter, Polo; one brother, Donald Potter, Kimberling City, Mo.; one sister, Anna Mayme Wolfe, Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by one son, Gene Potter.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at East Jordan United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kyeong-ah Woo officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon, Ill. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service.
A memorial has been established to the East Jordan United Methodist Church and Polo Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
