Helen L. Mattingly Henry, age 71, died on Friday, February 2, 2007 at Rose Walk Village in Lafayette. She had been a resident of' Tippecanoe County from 1975-2001 then went to Kansas for 4 1/2 years and then came back to Tippecanoe County and lived here for the last 14 months. She was born on June 22, 1935 to the late Arthur C. and Icie M. Fluharty Mattingly.

She was a clerical worker at the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences departments at Purdue University retiring in 1998. She was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary and Moose Auxiliary in Lafayette. Surviving are three sons, Terry D. Holmes of Gastonia, N.C., Roger Holmes and his wife Cinda, of Girard, and Ronald J. Holmes and his wife, Gloria of Mo.

No services are being planned at this time. Hippensteel Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. Surviving are three grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, George A. Mattingly.
