Joe E. Conley, age 65, died Monday, January 29, 2007, at Kansas Medical Center Andover, Wichita. The family will greet friends Friday, 6:30 until 7:30 P.M., at the Flint Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls.

Friends may call at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home Friday, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and at the church from 6 - 8 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2007, at the church with The Rev. Norbert Tegtmeier, of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Emporia, officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery on the Chase-Lyon County Line. The family requests that everyone dress casually for the service.

Joe E. Conley, the son of Doyle E. and Twila King Conley, was born January 7,1942, at Wichita. He was a long time resident of rural Chase County. He grew up in the Saffordville area and graduated from Saffordville High School in 1959. He was married to Dolores "Toots" Kewley. They were divorced. He and Jean Crane Dreasher were married June 1,1988, in Emporia. She survives.

He was a maintenance engineer at Newman Regional Health for 25 years and was semi-retired. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; two sons, Bruce Conley and Brad Conley, both of rural Emporia; his parents of Emporia; a sister, Jolene Rhodes of Americus; a step-son, Brian Dreasher of Emporia; a step-daughter, Kayla Delgado of Americus; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Doyle Conley on July 14, 1994.
