GEORGE RICHARD THOMPSON

George Richard Thompson, age 73, formerly of Fort Scott, died Tuesday morning, January 30, 2007, at the home of his loving nephew, Jon Lawhead and wife Janice Lawhead, Willamsburg, Colorado. George was a retired roofer.

He is survived by two sons, Rick Thompson of Florence, Colorado and Marty Thompson, and his wife, Dena, of Fort Scott; two sisters, Marjorie Lawhead, Canon City, Colorado, and Julie Elbrader and her husband, Robert, Fort Scott; two brothers, Douglas Thompson and his wife, Patty, Fort Scott, and Levi (Sam) Thompson and his wife, Barbara, Wrightwood, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Elnora Thompson; and a sister, Mary Brown.
