Marita 'Eileen Woods' Bullock, daughter of the late Rachel Maxine Woods, was born on Dec. 29, 1955 in Fort Scott. She departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2007 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, N.C.
Eileen received her education in Fort Scott. She was united in Holy matrimony to the late Bennie Bullock and to this union, three children were born.
Eileen and her husband moved to Lumberton, N.C. in August 1997. The family became a member of United Faith Tabernacle Church in 2000. Evangelist Bullock worked with almost every auxiliary in the church at one time or another. She was a very dedicated and faithful worker.
Eileen leaves to cherish her memories; four daughters, Natalie Rochelle Bullock, Bridget Danielle Bullock, Stefani Chanelle Bullock and Talisha Dionne Hill of the home; three sisters, Jacqueline Woods of Katy, Texas; Mickie Brown of Springfield, Mo., and Joyce Woods of Fort Scott; two brothers, Melvin Woods of Overland Park, Kan., and Donald Woods of Fort Scott; and host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held in Lumberton, N.C. Memorials may be made to the Marita Eileen Bullock Fund, a fund for her children's education. Contributions may be sent to, or left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
