He was retired from his Fultz Oil Company, an oil drilling company that drills oil, gas, and water wells. He was of the Methodist faith. When healthy, Roy loved to play golf.
Survivors include his wife Velda of the home, a step-daughter, Ruby Ingram and husband, Wally, of Florida; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Terri Lowry; one brother, Dewey Fultz and three sisters, Kathryn Schulte, Lola Ferrar and Lula Fultz.
Following cremation, Hospice Chaplain Rev. Lewis O. Smith, Sr. will conduct memorial services at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date in Clarksburg Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, KS 66701.
