KATHLEEN MARIE MANLEY

Kathleen Marie Manley, age 87, resident of 2315 Jewell Road, Fort Scott, died Friday, January 12, 2007, at Mercy Health Center following a brief illness. She was born November 7, 1919, in Wea, the daughter of Joseph Michael Troll and Mary Margaret Tolelle Troll. Kathleen was a 1938 graduate of Wea High School. She graduated from Huffs Business College in Kansas City, Mo. in 1939. She married Patrick Charles Manley on October 28, 1939. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1989. Kathleen worked with her husband on the farm from 1947 to 1977. She retired from Mercy Hospital as a medical transcriptionist, working from 1969 to 1983. She was a member of the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church and St. Anne's Altar Society.

She had also been a member of the adult church choir since 1948.

Survivors include five sons, Michael P. Manley of Colorado;Richard J. Manley, Palmdale, California; James L. Manley, Fort Worth, Texas; Kenneth C. Manley, Ballwin, Missouri; and Timothy W. Manley, Burleson, Texas; and one daughter, Patricia Ana Lowrance, Augusta. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph H. Troll.

Father Darrin May will conduct Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. Wednesday in the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in the U. S. National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Cheney Witt

Memorial Chapel, with the Rosary being recited at 7p.m. Memorials are suggested to either the Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church or the American Heart Association and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S.
