ENID 'RUTH' PERRY

Enid "Ruth" Perry, age 90, a resident of Fort Scott, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 at the Fort Scott Manor. Ruth was born in Fort Scott on March 30, 1916, the daughter of Ivan and Jessie Golff Morrison. After graduating from college, Ruth taught elementary school in the Marmaton and Uniontown school districts. She married Homer L. Perry on May 25, 1940, at Pawnee Station, Kan. He preceded her in death on April 22,1982. She was a member of the Hiattville United Methodist Church and attended Community Christian Church when health permitted. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the White Shrine, DAR and the Retired Teacher's Association.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Perry and wife, Charity Perry, and Paul Perry and wife, Jeanette, all of Fort Scott; four grandchildren, Matt Perry, of Wichita, Chris Perry, Neosho, Mo., Joshua Perry, of Republic, Mo., and David Perry, Tulsa, Okla; four great grandchildren, Clayton, Cameron, Kyle and Mia Perry; and a sister-in-law, Louise Morrison. In addition to her husband, Homer, and her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by three brothers, Earnest, Bob and Ralph Morrison.

Rev. Kevin Moyers will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007,at Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Large Cemetery. Condolences can be e-mailed to the family.
