BETH RADELL

Beth Radell, age 82, a resident of Fort Scott, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006. She was born in Fort Scott on August 15, 1924, the daughter of Charles Norton and Blanche Casner Norton. She graduated from Fort Scott High School in 1942 and Fort Scott Community College in 1944, and worked at the Bourbon County Treasurer's Office prior to retirement. She married John M. Radell in Fort Scott on January 31, 1953. Mrs. Radell did volunteer work for the Beacon and Meals on Wheels, and she was a member of Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, John, of the home; four daughters, Kim Radell, Lawrence, Kansas, Jeanne Black and husband Larry, Baldwin City, Kansas, Tracy Schafer and husband, Paul, Fort Scott, and Patricia Renfro and husband Danny, Fort Scott; a son, Mike Radell and wife Betsy, Desoto, Kansas; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mrs. Radell was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and three sisters, Ruth Davis, Lois Gross and Jean McClain.

Father Dan Lorimer will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2006, at Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. A rosary service will be held at the church at 11:30 a.m., Friday morning prior to the service. Burial will be in the U.S. National Cemetery.
