MARY E. STANDISH

Mary E. Standish, age 79, of Kansas City, Kansas died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Medical Lodge Post Acute Care Center, after a brief battle with leukemia. The Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the church.

Mrs. Standish was born June 2,1927 to Ray and Ellen (Holmes) Lounsbury near Prescott. She was raised and educated in the Hume, Mo. area. Although she loved country life, she chose to move to Wyandotte Coimty in 1946. She worked many years for Guaranty Bank & Trust, retiring as a Vice President/Branch Manager in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence on March 4, 1999. They spent their retirement years traveling state side and world wide. She was interested in local organizations having volunteered many hours for Cancer Action, Community Policing, the Salvation Army and the Sunflower Garden Club. She was a KOPS of TOPS KS #644 and

a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, its Altar Society, "Go Getters" Club and the WYCOSolos.

She is survived by a brother, Melvin Lounsbury, Independence, Mo.; nephew, Steve Lounsbury; niece, Janet (Russell) Adams; two great-nephews, Seth and Jaret Adams. Arrangements by SKRADSKI Funeral Home, Kansas City, KS (913) 371-1404.
