She retired as a bookkeeper from Kansas City Barber Supply where she had worked for many years.
She was a member of the Metropolitan Avenue United Methodist Church, the Cy Chapter of the P.E.O., a charter member of the Metropolitan Home Extension Group and the Wyandotte County Retired Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bill Scott.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Scott, Kansas City; two daughters, Susan K. Phillips, Kansas City and Peggy J. Borchardt, Shawnee; four brothers, Albert Eshelbrenner, Pittsburg, Jack Eshelbrenner, Olathe, Billie Eshelbrenner, fort Scott, Robert Eshelbrenner, Fort Scott; three sisters, Helen Harper, Uniontown, Joan Mills, Sterling, Colorado, Mary Sue O'Keefe, Fort Scott; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, at the maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church, Fort Scott. Burial will be in the Fort Scott National Cemetery.
