Professionally Physical (04/26/08)
Mixed martial arts, commonly known among its fans as MMA, have been gaining a foothold in the sports landscape, particularly over the last few years. Many people feel MMA has, at the very least, equaled the popularity of professional boxing. The numbers, especially when it comes to pay-per-view revenue, show that it has even surpassed pro boxing in popularity...

Patriots' experience will be the difference (02/02/08)
The New England Patriots won't miss Adam Vinatieri in this Super Bowl because it's not going to come down to another last-season kick. Vinatieri, now kicking for the Indianapolis Colts, won several playoff games in the past for the Patriots with last-minute or overtime kicks such as the ones that won Super Bowls XXXVI and XXXVII or the infamous "Tuck Rule" game in 2001 against the Oakland Raiders...

Patriots will have it won by halftime (02/02/08)
The Giants have a strong defense that will put pressure on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during Super Bowl XLII, especially later in the game as the Giants' defensive line has shown hot it seems to get stronger and faster as the game progresses. It pressured Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and the Packers' Brett Favre late and prevented those high-powered offenses from scoring in the fourth quarter of their NFC playoff games...

But for one more yard, Kolby Smith's first NFL start might have been perfect. But after gaining 151 yards on his first 30 rushes, the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive line couldn't push the Oakland Raiders back on a fourth-and-one play with 4:26 remaining in the contest, putting a damper on the rookie running back's outstanding effort in his first NFL start...

Chiefs sack Bengals (10/16/07)
Chiefs Defensive End Jared Allen sacks Bengals Quarterback Carson Palmer Sunday in a Chiefs win. Allen had two sacks in the game.

LaRoche Watch (07/12/07)
You've probably been wondering lately, "Where the heck has the LaRoche Watch been?" We actually just haven't had room for it. But the LaRoche brothers probably considered that a good thing since both Adam and Andy had been facing some tough times. Adam, the Pittsburgh Pirates' first baseman, was off to the worst start of his major-league career while Andy, a Los Angeles Dodgers farmhand, was sent back down to the minor leagues and then was put on the injured list...
