My Addiction

Hello, my name is Chassedi, and I am a online quiz-aholic.
I love taking online quizzes! Like an owl waiting all hours of the night waiting for an unsuspecting mouse, as do I wait to find my next online quiz to find out things I NEVER would've known about myself. My most commonly used web site is called, www.blogthings.com. It has a crazy amount of, "If you were ____ what kind would you be?" quizzes. And I love every minute of it! What makes it so addicting is when you click on one quiz, a new page will pop up with all the questions on it, but on both the left and right hand side there is a list, and yes there are pictures, of different quizzes you could take after you get done with the other one! It is so dang exciting to find out things no one knows except you and the computer.
For example, right now I am looking over here on this web site and I see this quiz that I am compelled to take called "What song from 2004 are you?" Am I going to take it? Sure am! Why? Not because I really want to know what song sums up the year 2004 for me, but simply I have a medical condition known as, addiction. I'm a very ill person with a terrible disease! But since I'm here, I may as well take it....
Jeopardy music please....do do do do, do do do, do do do do, deet, do do do do do....
"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard
And they're like, it's better than yours
D*** right it's better than yours
I could teach you
But I have to charge"
"You can work it! And you started a new trend or two in 2004!"
It seems that I am ever so popular song called, "Milkshake," by Kellis. I love that song! I never knew it fit my personalities until blogthings.com! WOW!
My personal favorite genre of online quizzes are the ones that test you psychologically. Here are some for example: "How Bipolar are you?", "Are you Id, Ego or Superego?", and "Are you Socially Anxious?"
I really like the fact that the people who make up the quizzes spent enough time and effort to put together a "quiz" based on information they found off of the Internet. Why go to a psychologist when you have online quizzes? My answer, because it's cheaper and faster. Let's find out, based on an online quiz of course, if I am a hypochondriac...
Turns out I am only 20% hypochondriac. Thank God! I was worried.
Now although I know licensed personnel would really be the one to go to in a case like this, but it's kinda cool to see what the online quiz says, right? Right!
Looking back on all the lovely things the Internet has to offer, besides pop ups and spam, at least one thing was made to keep children, and myself, occupied. Although I am addicted, I don't let my drug of choice interfere with my work... although sometimes it does get in the way of my home life. Atleast I'm not drowning my sorrows at the bottom of a bottle of Jack... Nah, that stuff will eat your liver. I think my only problem with being an online quiz-aholic is that I could become a hermit, and which may lead to me becoming a sociopath! So everyone remember, to much of something is always bad, no matter what it is! And everything has a consequence. In the words of my elementary school principal, Patty Hallam, "Think before you act."
Peace.
P.S.- Sorry this blog isn't very fun... I'm having a bad case of writers block!! Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
