My Blessings for Today
Posted Thursday, December 20, 2007, at 8:49 AM<< Previous | Read comments | Respond | Email link | Next >>
I woke up in a foul mood this morning (never mind the circumstances). The first thought that ran through my head after unexplained circumstance was "Great, now I'm going to have a crappy day."
Well, no I'm not! In the shower I started praising God for the great day that I was going to have because I knew that He would take care of my family and me and bless my day.
Yesterday I was listening to Air1.com, a Christian radio station affiliated with K-Love, and the dj was telling a story about another staff member who worked there who had experienced hard times in the past. Their neighbors rallied at Christmas to get them a small Christmas tree on which they clipped money. That family breaks that small tree out every year and clips to it their blessings written on pieces of paper. I thought I would follow their example.
I love how God works in our lives.
Throughout today, I am going to update my blog with any blessings, big or small, that I can think of. I encourage you to think of the blessing you have in your life and you are most welcome to list yours on this blog as well!
Merry Christmas!

Ya, und ve had it every christmas ven I vas growing up, as vas my mudders Norvegian tradition. Yoost ask anybody in my family.
you must soak it for 24 hours, then throw away the water and soak it again for another 24 hours. then rinse it and cook it in butter. Fishy-est fish you ever ate,ya.
I'll bet if you ask your in-laws they will know something about it, and Ole and Lena.
Merry Christmas, and thanks for letting me participate on your blogs!
Ok, you had me stumped, so I had to Google it. Yea Google and Wikipedia.
Lutefisk (lutfisk) (pronounced [lʉːtəfɪsk] in Norway, [lʉːtfɪsk] in Sweden and the Swedish-speaking areas in Finland (lipeäkala in Finnish)) is a traditional dish of the Nordic countries made from stockfish (air-dried whitefish) and soda lye (lut). Its name literally means "lye fish", owing to the fact that it is made with caustic soda or potash lye.
33. Being thankful for Lutefisk!
