A breath after the stormPosted Monday, December 3, 2007, at 1:49 PM
Several people have asked me how married life is treating me. You know, it's great! At first I didn't think it would feel any different. Josh and I have been together for eight years. We've lived together and we have a son. But it does feel different. It feels nice to get home and get dinner ready for my son and my 'husband.' We even like to refer to each other as "my wife" and "my husband." We're mushy, which has never really been us. Even though we didn't expect it, I'd say there is a honeymoon glow there. It's as if being married gives a whole new ambience to our home, a feeling of dependability of another person; one that makes me feel more complete. Now after the chaos of planning and holding a wedding and moving into a new house, I feel like we are finally setting into a routine where we can breathe. Everything is finding it's place, including us. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
