It's fair time

This being fair week, almost everyone at the Tribune has, or will have, their time on the Bourbon County fairgrounds. Having grown up in New York City, I'm clueless when it comes to livestock, but I can admire the 4-H kids and the effort they put in to taking care of their animals. They also get a chance to exercise their talents in other arts as well, such as photography and fashion.

Adults also get to ply their skill with canned goods, quilts, crafts and garden produce, among a host of other items. Anyone can enter items in open class, no matter your age or where you live.

Tractor pulls, entertainment and food are also featured this week. So if you're not all faired out, come for a visit.
